Check out Diaspora by Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah

I've been really vibing to this album for the past few weeks so I've decided to share it here for you to check out. It's called Diaspora and it's by New Orleans trumpeter Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah. I love how it combines haunting melodies with popular rhythms and interesting drum textures. The musicianship throughout the album is also very engaging. Take a listen below. I'd love to know what you think. Please let me know of any good music you've come across lately in the comments.

Also I'm preparing a new series of concerts for my supporters on Patreon (my patrons). These concerts will be live streamed and I'll be able to acknowledge and communicate with you all in real time. I'll also be including a lot of background stories and advice pertaining to music.

If you want to participate in these live steams please click the Become a Patron button underneath the video. I'm about halfway to the goal I need to start producing the concerts. So I would greatly appreciate a small pledge of $5 from you. Thanks!

A Live Jazz Mashup of Miles Davis and The Pharcyde

Here's a video from my weekly gig at The Chatterbox Jazz Club. Trombonist Ernest Stuart sat in with us and presented a really good version of Nardis by Miles Davis combined with the classic J Dilla produced Runnin by The Pharcyde. Please check it out below and let me know what you think!

Terrance Martin's Think of You (Cover)

Terrace Martin's I Think of You performed with guitar, bass and keyboards. I used a Road Worn 60's Fender Jazz Bass and Epiphone Dot Studio guitar with Ableton Live 9 to record this video. I also used Ableton Live 9 and Native Instruments Guitar Rig 4 to add effects to the bass and guitar signals.

Shout out to Tanya Marie and Khalil Crenshaw for the videos clips! I also really appreciate all of my Cincinnati peeps who come out to support this event. Talk to you all soon.
