The Fountain Room
Jazz & Wine Series
A curated Monday evening jazz experience by Brandon Meeks
Overview
This proposal outlines a concept for a recurring Monday evening Jazz & Wine Series at The Fountain Room designed to complement the restaurant’s existing wine night atmosphere while creating a recognizable weekly experience guests can return to.
The series would begin as a six-week pilot residency with the potential to continue as an ongoing weekly event.
Why The Fountain Room
The Fountain Room already has the kind of atmosphere people associate with elevated social experiences. The aesthetic, pacing, and supper club energy of the space naturally complement live jazz in a way that feels organic and aligned with the hospitality experience.
Pairing live jazz with the restaurant’s existing Monday wine night creates an opportunity to deepen the atmosphere of the room while giving guests an additional reason to return at the beginning of the week.
As Bottleworks continues growing as a cultural destination within Indianapolis, there is also an opportunity for The Fountain Room to become associated with a recurring live experience people specifically seek out within the district.
Series Concept
The Fountain Room Jazz & Wine Series
Curated by Brandon Meeks
A weekly Monday evening jazz experience featuring thoughtfully curated live music designed specifically to support the atmosphere and flow of the room.
Proposed Time
Mondays | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
This timing is intended to complement dinner and wine service while maintaining an atmosphere that feels elevated, relaxed, and conversational.
The focus:
Sophisticated but approachable live jazz
Music that supports conversation and dining
A relaxed and immersive wine night atmosphere
A recognizable weekly identity guests can return to
This would not function as a featured concert environment, but as a curated hospitality experience designed to complement the tone and energy of the space.
The musical format would remain flexible and curated based on the atmosphere and needs of the room while maintaining a consistent overall identity and level of quality.
Musical Direction
The sound of the series would be warm, sophisticated, and conversational — live jazz that supports the dinner and wine atmosphere without becoming overpowering.
The music would draw from jazz, soul, and improvisation, creating an elevated but approachable feel for the room.
Listen to examples:
These examples reflect the general tone and atmosphere of the series, while the actual music would be curated to fit the room each week.
Strategic Value
A recurring Jazz & Wine Series can help:
Create a recognizable Monday evening identity
Encourage repeat visits and return traffic
Differentiate The Fountain Room within Bottleworks
Strengthen the existing supper club atmosphere of the space
Add to the cultural energy developing within the district
Over time, the goal would be for the series to become something guests intentionally associate with The Fountain Room experience.
Pilot Structure & Investment
Six-Week Pilot Residency
The proposed pilot would run weekly for six consecutive Mondays.
The purpose of the pilot would be to:
Establish consistency
Refine the atmosphere and musical format
Observe guest response and operational flow
Evaluate long-term potential
Proposed Investment
$900 per week
This rate includes:
Live music performance
Weekly curation and artistic direction
Coordination of musicians and overall experience
Development of a consistent weekly atmosphere aligned with the identity of the space
If aligned after the pilot period, the series could continue as an ongoing weekly experience.

While the Jazz & Wine Series would be tailored specifically to The Fountain Room’s dinner and wine atmosphere, this video offers a glimpse of Brandon’s musicianship, professionalism, and level of artistry.
Next Steps
If this concept feels aligned, the next step would be an internal review to determine whether The Fountain Room would like to move forward with a six-week Monday pilot.
From there, we can finalize the start date, room setup, promotional language, and any operational details needed to launch the series.
